Yes, basically the power behind the throne (it doesn't matter who's actually elected) is the establishment globalist elites. Yet, the fact that you have to be a sitting MP to be the leader of a party is absolutely ridiculous. In Canada, any private citizen can run for leadership of any political party. The last person to do it federally was Brian Mulroney. He had never been an MP whatsoever. But he ran and won. After that, a Tory MP, in a safe seat, steps down to force a by-election. In the next election, the leader runs in his home constituency and the old Tory MP is usually acclaimed the candidate (for his loyalty). We also don't have "selecting committees" in each constituency. Again, like the point above, this smacks to me of elitism, not democracy. If you want to move away from this elitist way, both of these procedures must go. I think you'll find you can select from a broader range of candidates this way. And giving EVERY party member a say in who their local candidate and who. their party leader will be, is more pro-democratic than the system you have now. (Of course, another thing that should be eliminated is this ridiculous notion of having the sitting MPs whittle the choices down to just two candidates to face off against each other. No! Instead, the entire membership of the respective party should have a say in the full slate of candidates.)

I agree with everything he said EXCEPT his last point. We do need to return to God. I believe that God created us and that the Bible is the makers Handbook. Obviously, there is a difference between the old and New testaments. The old gave the law which had to be obeyed, but also gave a way to cover disobedience. This was only intended to be temporary, until the age of grace. St Paul says the law was like a schoolmaster to teach us right from wrong and to show us that the law sets an impossible standard. We cannot be good enough by our own efforts!!! So what is the answer? God came to earth in the person of Jesus. God had already condemned sin, saying the soul who sins must die. Jesus was born without sin and lived a perfect holy life without sin. He then died instead of us to take the judgement and punishment that should have been ours, thus setting us free when we accept what he has done for us and quit TRYING to be good enough in our own strength and by our own efforts!! We are changed from the inside out so we become more like Jesus, caring, considerate, honest, faithful and forgiving people. Our laws for society are based on the Ten Comandments and "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" . This didn't mean that you had to retaliate, you can and should forgive, but the laws for society was to show that the punishment should fit the crime snd be a deterrent to keep people safe.

Historically, the laws of the Union were designed to benefit the English capitalist industrial revolution, to the detriment of the other countries of the Union. This caused dissatisfaction and uprising intermittently in these various countries, the first major break being the establishment of the Irish Republic. It has got to the stage now that it appears there is a great divide is within England itself, where laws are geared to benefit the South East and the needs of the North and West are secondary.

One: Starkey fails to understand that social media moves ideas between people more effectively than political broad casts. Two : in a democracy it falls to the electorate to decide what constitution it wants, not the head of the constition nor a house of lords, niether of which are decomcratically elected, nor accountable.
